Tipped over!

Oh I wish I had a picture of our latest adventure!! We floated the river again and this time one of our boats tipped over and we spilled Dad, H, & both 6 yr olds into the river! Now, E stands out, white skin, blond hair, red life jacket... so we found her fast... T on the other hand has dark skin, dark hair, and a faded green life jacket... plus he was under the over turned boat. Needless to say Mom turned into jell-o, a terrified E attacked her Dad (who was trying to lift the boat) S yelled a lot, while H kept her cool & with the help of some people on tubes lifted the boat, pulled T out and then the Mom of the tube-floating-family put T on her lap...H then proceeded to help Dad get things back in order while S & I paddled upriver (ha ha)-- completely useless to anyone as we had been in front. It took us about 200 yards to get T back and then we grounded ourselves in a shallow area to tip all the water out of our boats. After that we were all fine... if a bit shaken. Tea seems to have taken it all rather well... I'm really hoping this hasn't hurt the trust relationship we've been trying so hard to build!

Just that morning we had been discussing the feasibility of taking Tabi sometime-- heavily life-jacketed of course. Well, scratch that idea!! She is NEVER going on the river!

The rest of us however, can't wait to go again!
